Kalari handle more than 2,000 containers per annum through its depot in Laverton.

Prior to purchasing a Mobicon containers were handled using a side-unloader. Not only was this a time consuming process but it also restricted us to accepting only 20ft containers and meant that a prime mover needed to be available in the yard at all times to handle incoming boxes.

The Mobicon has cut down container handling times, freed up the use of a prime mover to handle other business and provided the ability to handle containers of any size.

Other factors that influenced our decision to choose Mobicon were its safety features, pavement strength restrictions in our yard and the fact that it was very competitively priced against heavy forklifts. The Mobicon allows easy access into all of our freight sheds and awnings, providing excellent flexibility in how storage and handling facilities in our depot are used.

Mobicon provided the required plant risk assessments prior to purchase and conducted a thorough training program for our operators. To date, Mobicon has proved to be an innovative and reliable tool for our business.
