I am pleased to recommend the Mobicon to any exporter/importer with large volumes , as an excellent piece of equipment with the view to reducing costs and increasing efficiencies.

Spotlight Stores moved to its export operation from external transport service provider’s premises to its own warehouse in Laverton.

Once this move was made it soon became clear that heavy equipment was needed to move export containers around and from consolidation areas. A costing was done using trailers, side-loaders and loading docks and it was soon apparent that we needed to adopt a new concept in loading and moving containers.

At this time we were introduced to the concept of the Mobicon mobile container handler, which was easy to use and would not destroy the yard, as the axle load was widely dispersed. This could also take containers into the warehouse, as it would fit under the roller doors.

The Mobicon could do for us something that a side-loader could not do, that is drop off containers onto fixed stands that we had built for our loading docks and also speed up container handling times and thus increase efficiencies in exports and reduce transport costs.
